With the heavenly blessings of Revered Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) and with the benign endorsement of our Chancellor Sant Baba Manmohan Singh ji, able guidance of respected Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar, under the aegis of IQAC and IIC,Department of Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences celebrated World Environment Day(WED 2024) on 27thMay,2024.
World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June every year all over the globe to create awareness and take action on urgent and most pressing environmental issues. This year the theme for the World Environment Day 2024highlighted the urgent need to address the issues of land degradation, desertification and drought.
As the University’s End semester examination (ESE June 2024) was commencing from the 3rd of June 2024, the celebration of the day was planned a week before the actual date i.e 5thof June.
The event started with inaugural speech by Dr. Shweta Singh, HOD, Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences department. She highlighted the need of sustainable
As a part of the event, the department of LS & AHS organized activities likeDrawing Competition, Posters, Cards and Collage-making highlighting the present environmental problems.
About 23 students of various disciplines of Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences enthusiastically participated in these activities.
The students showed their creativity and made beautiful Posters on environmental topics such as Biodiversity Conservation,tree plantation and human activities resulting in climate change.
The events concluded smoothly and have provided good learning as well as refreshing experiences for the students and teachers
